paperback writer.....

You know what I enjoy more than anything? Re-reading my old posts. Maybe because to me they actually mean something. I guess more than anything I write for myself. I do hope though, that people somewhat enjoy my strange ramblings. I like to think they are kind of fun. You know what I enjoy the most though? Being able to go back a couple of month and see what I was thinking...it inspires me. I think that today I will just study for history and if I have time, Arabic. Oh how I love Arabic! And did you see??! Blogger is now offered in Arabic Hebrew and Persian! I think that I would like to learn Farsi one day. The letters are almost identical to Arabic, it would be a matter of practice and learning the vocab. Speaking of which, I truly truly want an Arab (or Persian) descent boyfriend....or of course, a Jewish boyfriend. I just think that it would benefit me the most. I was just having a discussion with my roommate about how I TRULY believe that I could never marry (or maybe even get serious) with someone of my culture. However, believe me it is NOT about me hating my culture, far from it. I am so extremely proud to be SalvadoreƱa! I absolutely love my culture. I do, however, have strong feelings about interracial couples and mixed kids. I think that we owe it to our future children (that is, if I do ever decided to have kids) to give them the blessing of a mixed family. I know I know, how is being mixed a blessing? Isn't it a burden that causes a major identity crisis and maybe even hatred by certain people? Yeah, of course that exists, but the way I look at it goes as follows: Being a mixed child is so beautiful because not only are you unique looking, but you have not one but TWO different cultures to be proud of! And (supposing one in the couple isn't the type of "American" and can't speak another luga.) you have the freakin opportunity to be tri-lingual!!!!!!! There are just so many reasons for me to
date outside my race....actually now that I think about it, here in davis, I've never had anything with anyone within my race (besides the Peruvian boy, but I like to think that he doesn't really count as such).
;)
