so I don't want to make this exhausting....
I had a nervous breakdown...I went home, it was amazing, but dangerous. For a millisecond I considered staying...then reality hit me, and of course I came back to davis (sick, cause I went to malibu and it was freezing!!!) and had another mini nervous breakdown, but I did not allow myself to give up and now school (is still super crazy but) is amazing!
music & friends have kept me sane these last couple of days.
Kris' Saint Francis posse came over on Saturday and it was soooo nice...susan justin mata dianne jon p ashley ely & tim came over and we had drinks and just chilled at our place...it was so dope..
then kris and I went to our old neighbors' 90s party and it was sooooo dope...
Nsync , BSB, S Club7, BBMak etc! It was just sooo nice to socialize after so long...I absolutely loved it!
which leads me to the whole 80s-90s theme...
so at work my trainer/coworker had been playing all this 90s music and I laugh cause I've been totally into 90s music lately...
this was only heightened by this 90s party & the fact that my coworker K and I always play RIDICK 90s music while we work....
to add to this, a long time ago I took this super lame long survey and they said they would give me an incentive but I totally forgot about it until my roommate gave me the mail and I had $20 worth of itunes music....
so i went on a 90s music shopping spree...
it is seriously the reason I am still sane...
school is going extremely well and inshaallah that it continues to go this way...we are finally learning about things that I am interested in! what, you ask?
well,
microeconomics--perfect competition, monopoly, monopolistic competition, oligopoly, & game theory!!! it is pretty crazy, but omg I can FINALLY apply derivatives to a real life scenario! oh, AP Calculus was sooooo worth it! ;)
History-- Latin America FINALLY! the likes of Chilean history (and very hot debate of Allende's cause of death!) Bolivia and Evo Morales' "cynicism" (according to my T.A.) of coca plants; Argentina's a market for cocaine not a supplier...just a Chile is...etc etc..I love reading about Columbia, history is just going amazing.
Communication class is even more perfect, we are learning about the news corporation & journalism...
and arabic is as perfect as always..
so life has been treating me well after my nervous breakdown...
i'll post something more worthwhile later
