..so its spring--the flowers are blooming, the weather is nice, and fashion seems to be the only thing on my mind...I had an epiphany today...I realized that what I want to do in life is in fashion...therefore I have decided to change my double-major from Communication and International Relations and a minor in Art Studio with an emphasis on photography to a double major in Communications and [gasp] Textiles and Clothing!
okay so there is so much more to this story and decision and though it might seem like its not a big deal but for me this is one of the most important things I've ever done..my reason? Fashion is my biggest passion--this is the way I describe it...you know when you have a crush on someone and you get butterflies? that is what I get when I see/hear/read anything with fashion. The problem is that I have never believed in myself and the possibility that I can work in the industry. Also, my parents are awesome, but they have always wanted me to go into the health field--doctor perhaps?...no, I'll leave that to my little sis...you see, I know that I have the potential to become a doctor if I want..I'm pretty damn smart! The thing is my heart is not in it...so whats the point? I do not want to get a career for the money or prestige, I want to be able to wake up in the morning and can't wait to go to work....so after sitting through ONE lecture for Textiles and Clothing, I knew it was for me--immediately after lecture I went to the Textiles and Clothing adviser and we conversed--I think she really liked me! I set up an appointment to meet with her this friday and discuss it further, but my mind is officially made up.....
this has also lead me to other conclusions--being surrounded by people into fashion makes me feel like I need to show off my knowledge, but then again, I also feel like I am a silent threat....
..also I need to dress better...no more settling for whatever..usually I leave my 'better' clothes for those special occasions but now I've realized that I should not because when I feel good about what I am wearing I feel more potent and confident.
well...I don't know...you guys probably think that I am crazyyy but I just have the passion and I cannot explain it.......I just love it......

so finals came and went...overall? very satisfactory, but once again...this is the golden rule, learn it and live it: YOU CANNOT PROCRASTINATE AND/OR SLIDE BY IN COLLEGE...THERE IS NO WAY AROUND IT..YOU EITHER ARE OR YOU AREN'T...that is something I need to learn.....this spring quarter? Its gonna be intense--4 writing GE classes...eekk....Science and Society 15--AIDS and Society;Linguistics 1--Intro to Linguistics;Political Science 3--International Relations; and last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST Textiles and Clothing 7--Style and Cultural Studies
so far? Intense BUT extremely interesting!!!!!!!!
sooo okay...I finish my finals and go back home...dad leaves me stranded at the Burbank airport for like 2 hours, like always.
ooh before I forget-- I decided to take my lip ring out and get a stud, just to make it look less offensive and maybe the parentals wouldn't be as harsh about it....totally work...it was kind of freaky actually...they LOVED my piercing...ehh...kinda kills the whole point of it, no?:]
okay so I get home thursday night, love it...family...
I go on myspace [I somehow got wireless at my house] and I get a comment from Adam from Seasons saying sorry for the late notice but they would be playing at Mr Ts Bowl on friday but it will probably be hard to get it...flashback to winter: I went to go catch a Seasons show at Mr Ts a couple of months earlier but I was not allowed in cause I am not 21..ahh!!! Dear Nik totally talked his way into letting us stay...I did not want to go through that again, I opt to miss the show...oh no then Nik tells me that they let EVERYONE in that night!!ahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its okay..I got to the movies with my mommy....The Hills Have Eyes 2...alright..
then went to see Premonition with my awesome cousins........LOVE IT..
okay so saturday was Cheltzie Lee's birthday celebration/high school reunion at the Hookah bar in Glendale....so I get there in the morning...my angel babe decided he wants to go get manicures and, of course my duty as a fag hag is to go with him and get it...it was cool, but the lady hurt me...I started bleeding...oh yeah I took my sister...so I get to see my angel babe...so the cheltzie lee picks us up...it was soooo awesome to see her...I love her so much....i ask her if we can go pick up Jess...we do...aww..I get to see my ho, my homie...love her..so we go to the bank--closed!We got to Walgreens where Chelzie lee used to work..then we meet up with Franny, Irene and friend at Jamba Juice...converse for a while then we go to Target cause cheltzie lee want to buy a digital camera....they warn me that Eagle Rock plaza has been taken over by Filipinos...wowzer..they were NOT lying!
so she gets a good deal on a nice camera...make a pit stop at the arcade and then head to GLENDALE GALLERIA!!!!! YAY!!!!!!on the way Chelztie lee tells us out of nowhere that he grandmother died that morning...sadness

so at Charlotte Russe I see non other than my fave high school teacher/fave radical Ms Ryley!
she had her baby and she showed pictures..thank God for camera phones!
it was very awkward...but awesome
side note:college is very strange...yesterday I saw my old religious studies professor Wendy...it was sooo awkward..I didnt know what to do..I am not used to seeing teachers outside of school, but here, you see your professors riding bikes, eating at the same place as you etc...it is sooo weird...
so back to saturday...we came back and got ready at Jess's house. Cheltzie Lee looked AMAZING...cute eggplant baby doll dress with black tights and these amazing black heels I got her for her b-day...Jess looked hecka cute...she got her makeup done and I straightened her hair...adorable!
so we pick up Franny and head to to the hookah place...we get there and OMG sophie, Mari and ALEXXXXXXXXXXXX are there!!!
I was soo hapyyyy..
okay so Cheltzie lee leaves her car keys inside the car so i have to climb in the trunk..haha...
anyways so we get to the hookah place and they card us...dammit we are 18!!!
well my sister is not :/
so I let her borrow my UCD ID..the security guard does not believe her but my sis is so cool, she was totally cool and got in...so to make a long story short..we ate, hookahed saw LOTS of people...pilley lizett francis maritza doug jaime vinny and cousin..fun..fun fun....
we head to angel's place where his mom is having a little shindig...fun then out of nowhere Andre and crew show up!!!aww.....it was cool, but kind of awkward...so they get kicked out...talked to Francis...it was sooo awesome...
so my rents pick me up at 3am...wayyy after the party is over...
it was cool though go to hang out with my angel babe....
so sunday I had to get up hecka early for church..fell asleep :/
hung out with the familia...rest of the week hung out at home....then come tuesday night [the night before I have to go back to davis] and my rents convince me stay the rest of the week..I agree....did not do much..just bond with mommyyy sis and bro...
I chopped off my pelo [hair]....its a metaphorical thing... I needed to cut all the bad stuff out of my life...so my hair is short now..
so I get back to davis sunday evening...come home to a big surprise....my roomie is transferring next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!
