more than a good feeling

some of the things I love & make me smile; read it all because it gets better as it progresses.

  • Feeling inspired by other people
  • Watching Greek and The Hills Monday nights & not caring what people think
  • Listening to a good song about a million times, today it’s “Tiny Dancer”
  • Obsessing over Earnest Sewn, Ksubi & J Brand skinny jeans because they actually fit.
  • Going shopping at blah places such as Gap, getting classic pieces on sale, & then wearing them nice non-generic ways.
  • Having one of those really good days at work, where all my coworkers and I do is laugh (while working, of course)
  • Anticipating payday but when the actual day comes not be too excited. It reminds me that I don’t love money, and that’s a good thing :)
  • Going to Arabic class and having one of those fun days where everyone laughs because our ustatha Shayma is so adorably hilarious.
  • When ustatha Shayma asks me a question in Arabic and I’m actually able to answer it & she says “mumteza” (excellent)
  • Listening to Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, especially the old stuff.
  • Visiting my aunt in South Central and looking out the window while we drive around; it reminds me what my purpose in life is.
  • Meeting fashionably challenged people, because it makes me feel better about myself.
  • Finding an all day metro pass in the morning.
  • Taking the metro & bus everywhere in southern California, it’s the only way to truly experience Los Angeles.
  • Pretty sorority girls & typical frat boys because I think they are TRULY enjoying college the way it should be.
  • Being drunk enough to make out with a guy but not drunk enough to give him my virginity
  • Not driving
  • Getting papers back and reading cute comments from my male T.A s
  • Dreaming about moving to the Middle East , Latin America, or Eastern Europe.
  • Listening to men speak Russian, it’s so sexy.

  • Getting late night messages from brilliant and interesting people.
  • Having a visible collarbone.
  • When I start writing and can't stop; That is the ultimate feeling.
  • Laughing when guys get erections because they are so cheesy; it's hilarious when they try to act sexy and dirty.
  • Understanding Economics!
  • Knowing how beautiful my sister is & not being jealous but proud.
  • Having super long conversations with my best friend Angel despite the fact that we have not seen each other in a long time.

  • Being inspired by hardworking people like my grandparents.
  • People who speak more than one language
  • Having amazingly enlightening drunk conversations; especially with guys because they are so honest.
  • Having a cigarette with people I love after a night of drinking. We all go outside under the beautiful Davis night sky, share a cigarette, and talk about everything; this happens very sporadically (usually after a GOOD party) but when it does, it’s the best feeling and so worth that time I am detracting from my life through the ‘cancer stick’.
