haha..so anyways, picnic day was on satuday and I must say it was an utter disappointment. It was raining and cold. The only thing that was cool was the awesome Signature 2007 fashion show in freeborn hall. The designs were amazing. I could not believe that these were students. Though I must say that I LOVED every single one of them, with the exception of one, the ones that really stood out to me were Erica Strandberg's"San Fransisco Structures" I loved the symmetry of it. It reminded me of something Chloe from Project Runway would have designed. Li Lai's "So Left its Gauche" amazed me. she utilized her marketable designs to send out a political message...very leftist including some picket signs hailing the name of Hugo Chavez..gasp...I felt a tad awkward, because I know for a fact that there were many conservative Republic right-winged people there. I thought it was very brave of her to do something like that....
My ultimate favorite one was Katie Goldman Macdonald's "A la Mod" ...from her clever collection to her quirky models and amazing wearable cute designs I found it the most professional and overall best presented. It was not traditional, she used two models for each walk down the runway. I found it just amazing. I'll try to find some pictures of it to post up.
I also LOVE LOVE LOVED Laurie Harris's "Mi Pollero" in which she used inspiration from Panama's traditional dress and spun it into cute dresses. I loved the Cumbia music that accompanied her collection. It made me want to listen to some Salvadoran cumbia.
anywhoo..that was the only cool thing about Saturday because V and I got home and I knocked out..i was so tired...from the night before [we'll get to that in a minute] but when I woke up V invited her friends..they were pretty cool, and it was fun, but for some reason I was antisocial..i hate when I do that....but they were cool however...I figured that some alcohol in my system would loosen me up so I had so much to drink--Southern Comfort & Barcardi Green Apple [uhh...my enemy] then when they left V gave me some Bacardi 151 and I just lost it...I reached my peak...V left with emily and Tiff was in her room...I then started feeling sick...basically to make a long story short, I went from wanting to go out and party to falling asleep at 11pm after having thrown up all over my room...[mind you this is the first time i've ever puked..it was horrible]...so i fell asleep...woke up watched "Training Day" [love ethan hawk] and "Old School" fell asleep again but then I felt sick and at like 5am I began puking again...V was back and she helped me...sweet..love her...
I finally threw it all up and we slept till like 1pm...we went to get brunch and came back...just chilled...later we were craving some In N Out...omg it was amazing!!!!!!
we went to Boarders where I purchased the new Bright Eyes cd Cassadaga...havent had a chance to listen to it yet, but i'll give my review once I do...but the cd packaging is so awesome...so if thats any indication ...I also bought the new Jane mag...I swear Jane is such a best kept secret..not many people I know like it but its sooo good! I love their approach and style and editor in chief Brandon is so cool!

so back to friday night....
we went to Krissy's friends place Sylvia...OMG she is sooooo awesome....love her..
justin came up...we headed to segundo where we took the rest of my skyy and her malibu...
we get there and meet some cool people including Olivia..one of the cutest girls i've ever met! and some cool guy named calvin...Dianne was there and Jonathan came from UCSC...last time I met him we were all pretty out of it....but we had talked though facebook a bit...we really hit it off friday...he is one of those loud [kinda obnoxious at time] people but you just cant help but love...anywho...spent most of my night with him...but with everyone...we got a real good buzz...fun fun night...one of the funnest nights i've had in a while....
anywho...I began thinking of many things...but particularly of this one story..."Las Medias Rojas" by Emilia_______.
this story is so cute...dont want to bore you by telling all of it but basically "Las Medias Rojas" mean the red stockings...red =passion & sexuality...a poor girl used her red stockings to survive status...its metaphorical and its late...dont have too much time to explain..but I get it and thats okay...
so these red stockings i just cant get them out of my head...i'm torn between who I am and who i could be/who I am and who I really am/who I am who I should be....uhh...its so weird to try to explain it..but people have a perception of me and I dont know whether or not I want it...
I LOVE my reputation..its clean and nice...but I dont want people to expect that of me forever...
life...life is a trip....

p.s. after re-reading many of my post I have found MANY mistakes, I write these at night, in between class, and other random times...i'm either in a hurry or sleepy...forgive me! I am actually really good at that stuff...I'll try to be more careful, but I'll leave my old ones..it gives me character..haha
